North Carolina’s First Special Strong Opens With a Family Legacy

Felix and Yvette Eleazer bring decades in business, education, and ministry to Research Triangle Park

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC — Special Strong, a leading Adaptive Fitness franchise dedicated to serving individuals with mental, physical, and cognitive challenges, today announced the launch of Special Strong Research Triangle Park (RTP) under franchise owners Felix Q. Eleazer Jr. and Vangela “Yvette” Eleazer — marking the brand’s first location in the state of North Carolina.

Felix brings over two decades of experience as an operations executive and licensed Realtor in the workforce solutions and staffing industry. Outside of his professional career, he serves as a church Elder, youth mentor, and Marriage Ministry Leader, dedicating his time to guiding young adults and strengthening families within his community. Yvette spent 33 incredible years in education, serving as a classroom teacher, instructional coach and facilitator, math and science specialist, and math interventionist — helping students and educators grow, succeed, and reach their full potential.

“What God brings you to, He’ll bring you through.”
— Felix Eleazer, Franchise Owner, Special Strong RTP

“I spent several years evaluating business opportunities, but Special Strong spoke directly to my heart and passion for serving others in need,” Felix said. He and Yvette prayed earnestly for guidance before moving forward, and describe the decision as one built on faith as much as strategy.

A Mission Rooted in Family

The Eleazers’ commitment to the special needs community is rooted in family. It began with Felix’s late Uncle Virgil, who had Down syndrome, whose memory the family honors through Virgil’s Village LLC. That legacy continues today with their 18-year-old grandson, Jaylin, who was born with a Chromosome 9 abnormality. A recent high school graduate, Jaylin will join the Special Strong team as a Fitness Assistant.

“We are excited to witness Jaylin inspire others and show the world what is possible through Special Strong.”
— Felix and Yvette Eleazer, Franchise Owners, Special Strong RTP

The family’s commitment extends beyond the gym floor. In August 2026, Felix and Yvette became Stewards of a Group Home for adult males with intellectual and developmental disabilities — another expression of the mission that now anchors Special Strong RTP. Special Strong RTP serves the Research Triangle Park, North Carolina area.
