Warren Dunphy-Miller, 21, is a force of nature.
Born with Down syndrome, he’s grown into one of the most kind-hearted, energetic, and inspiring young adults we’ve had the privilege of working with. His joy is contagious, and over time, we’ve seen him step confidently into adulthood—with a stronger sense of self, purpose, and leadership.
Warren didn’t just find a place to work out at Special Strong—he found a mission.

He’s lost over 50 pounds, become physically stronger, and embraced a healthy lifestyle that’s tough for anyone to follow—let alone someone facing the unique challenges of Down syndrome.
But Warren didn’t just meet the challenge—he crushed it.
More than that, Warren is becoming a true leader in his community. He’s helped coach our Kid’s Classes, worked a booth at a school resource fair to sharpen his communication skills, and is now pursuing his Special Strong Adaptive Trainer Certification.
His dream? To help others the way he’s been helped.
Wherever Warren goes—events, social gatherings, even casual chats—he proudly shares his Special Strong journey. He’s brought others in just by being himself. He’s a walking, smiling, flexing billboard for what’s possible. But Warren’s story is also about community.
One of his best friends, Aasher, has been by his side since childhood. They were even “Flower Dudes” together at Coach Brooke’s wedding! Their friendship, strengthened through Special Strong, shows what it looks like to live out an abundant life—full of love, purpose, and connection.
Warren’s transformation is physical, emotional, and deeply inspiring.
He’s not just changing his life—he’s changing others.
We’re proud to be part of his story, and even prouder to see the man he’s becoming.
