San Diego, CA – May 1, 2025 – Special Strong proudly announces the launch of its newest franchise in San Diego, led by three passionate women: Sana Firdose, Deepa Balusamy, and Umama Khan. With their diverse backgrounds in public health, technology, and business—and their shared heart for inclusion—the trio is committed to bringing adaptive fitness and empowerment to individuals with mental, physical, and cognitive challenges across the San Diego area.
Sana brings expertise in applied nutrition and public health, along with a strong advocacy background for children with autism and ADHD. Deepa, a former software engineer and special needs parent, offers firsthand insight into the importance of inclusion and the power of tailored support. Umama, with a business background, was inspired by her friends’ experiences and recognized the life-changing potential of adaptive fitness. Together, they form a team driven by compassion, purpose, and the belief that true strength comes from uplifting others.
