A Ministry of Movement: Chrissy Gust Launches Special Strong Mesa in Arizona’s East Valley
Mesa, AZ – March 1, 2025 – Special Strong is proud to announce the launch of its newest location in Arizona, led by franchise owner Christina “Chrissy” Gust. As the owner of Special Strong Mesa East Valley, Gust brings a powerful blend of professional experience, personal passion, and Christ-centered values to the East Valley region, serving individuals with mental, physical, and cognitive challenges.
A mom of three boys—two with special needs—Chrissy has a deeply personal connection to the mission of Special Strong. She holds two education degrees, taught 6th grade for nearly a decade, directed a franchised daycare, and has coached volleyball for almost 20 years, including mentoring at the college level. Her background in education, coaching, leadership, and faith has prepared her to create a safe and supportive environment where individuals of all abilities can thrive.
“When I first saw Special Strong, I knew it was a calling,” said Gust. “This is more than fitness—it’s about hope, transformation, and showing families that their loved ones are seen, supported, and capable of amazing things.”
